Google needs your help writing reviews about where you live

Have a big opinion and want a lot of people to know about it...

Have a lot to say about your city? Feel like writing engaging reviews in return for free stuff and benefits? Then the Google City Experts program is for you.

Google has quietly launched a new program called City Experts that will be made up of the most prolific reviewers on Google+. The new group of people will be made up of those who have posted at least 50 reviews – reviews posted before signing up count – and can contribute at least five reviews a month that live up to certain criteria such as being a minimum of three to four sentences long.

The following cities are currently accepting City Expert applications:

United States (Austin, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, Portland, Raleigh-Durham, San Francisco)
United Kingdom (Bristol, Edinburgh, London, Manchester)
Australia (Sydney)
Japan (Tokyo and Osaka)

For the work you do as a City Expert you will receive perks such as access to an exclusive community page, invitations to special events, exclusive Google-branded items and a monthly newsletter.

If you’re already someone that believes in reviewing everywhere you go, there’s no reason to not sign up.
