Ever have that feeling when you can't remember if you left your phone somewhere outside the house or just in your car....
At long last Google is preparing to launch a new app that will help owners find their lost or stolen Android phones.
Google announced today via the official Android blog that by the end of the month it will be launching a new app called Android Device Manager. While the new app will also help you manage your Android devices, it will also bring a highly demanded feature that will let you locate your phones should you lose them. Think it’s in your house? Go ahead and tell the device to activate its ringer. Think it may be in more nefarious hands? Wipe the device remotely so no one can go rifling through your device for information that you don’t want others to see.
The new Android Device Manager is scheduled to launch later this month and will be compatible with devices running Android 2.2 or higher.
