Amazon Prime Instant Video Streaming Finally Lands comes to Android phones/tablets

Source: Amazon

Amazon rolled out a massive update to its official Android app today, offering up access to the company’s video streaming service and AppStore. Version 5.0 of the Amazon app should be available for all Android devices today, though according to some reports it’s still not working on most tablets.

The big news is access to Prime Instant Video, though before you start watching you’ll need to download the Prime Instant Video player from inside Amazon’s own AppStore. The new app gives you access to the company’s music catalog. It also adds 5GB of free cloud storage for your photos.

For Amazon fans with Android phones, today’s update is a huge improvement. For now you can grab Amazon 5.0 for yourself through Google Play Store.
