iOS 9 will take up just 1.3GB; iOS 8 takes up 4.58GB
Apple talked a bit about iOS 9 on Monday, when it introduced the new operating system during WWDC 2015 in San Francisco. However, it didn’t touch on some of the smaller features that might not drop as many jaws during a public presentation.
On Apple’s site, however, Apple says iOS 9 will consume just 1.3GB of your internal storage. That’s a huge improvement over iOS 8, which takes up 4.58GB, Apple said. iOS 9 should also offer other smaller improvements, like better security, up to an hour of additional time before having to charge, thanks to a new low power mode, and faster performance.
iOS 9 will be available this fall.
