Tech deals are a lot better this year than last.
This year retailers, online and brick and mortar stores, "leaked" their Black Friday ads very early and have continued to update them as the days and weeks have past. While most are on Black Friday, some are on Thanksgiving Day, but luckily retailers who are offering door busters in stores are offering them online as well so all you need to shop for great deals are a few moments with your tablet or smartphone.
To help with your Black Friday shopping plans, I have compiled a list of the best deals in tech across the major online and store retailers:
Amazon
Amazon is fixin to go all out on Black Friday, because they want you on their site buying all of the things that big box stores will try and get you to stand in line for. That means deals for days, not just the day after Thanksgiving. In fact, they are kicking off 8 days of holiday deals starting November 20 and pushing them through Black Friday and beyond.
They’ll have TVs on sale, along with their Fire products, accessories (SD cards and such), fitness trackers, Samsung’s tablets, and more. As we get closer to Black Friday, we’ll update this section with direct links as they pop up. They have a dedicated Black Friday Hub, which you should visit regularly if you are interested in doing your shopping from Amazon.
Best Buy
As is always the case, Best Buy has more deals than you can probably handle. With that said, here are a few that are standing out already. Also, keep in mind that Best Buy is holding back some deals until Thursday.$250 Best Buy gift card with an installment plan or lease on Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, or S6 Edge+ - While you can't use the gift card on the initial purchase of the smartphone of your choice, you can use it to round out other gift ideas you might have for family and friends
- 64GB Samsung microSD card for $17.99 - $32 savings - If you are getting someone an Android smartphone that can take a microSD card to increase it's storage space (see Moto E 2015 from Verizon below), this is a perfect companion gift.
- SanDisk 128GB microSD card for $39.99 - $140 savings - Any time you are paying less than 50 cents a GB for storage space, you are getting a great deal.
- SanDisk 32GB microSD card for $9.99 - $50 savings
- 2 Chromecasts (new model) for $50 - $20 savings - Normally $35 a piece, split this sale up to give two cable cutting friends a great stocking stuffer.
- Roku SE for $24.99 - $25 savings - This is a steal. Normally $50 and updated hardware from the Roku 2, this is another great gift for a cable cutting friend or family member.
- Dynex portable charger for $3.99 - $4 savings - While you don't get a lot of savings, these make the perfect stock stuffers. At under $4 a piece, you can gift 5 of them for under $20.
- Amazon 7" Fire tablet for $35 - $15 savings - $35 for a name brand tablet. Let that sink in. This isn't a Coby, RCA, or other off brand name tablet. This is an Amazon tablet that lets you read, listen to music, surf the web, and play games for $35.
- UE Boom bluetooth wireless speaker for $99 - $100 savings - The best portable bluetooth speaker out there. 360 degree sound, 12 hour battery life, water resistant, remote control from your tablet or smartphone, and 50 foot connection. Amazing sound and volume for any camping trip, tailgating event, etc.
- Powerbeats 2 wireless earbuds for $100 - $100 savings - Since the Jaybird X2 are not on sale for less than $100, these are the next best wireless bluetooth earbuds out there. While I am not a fan of the over pronounced bass, they have a great in ear fit, 6-7 hours of battery life, sweat proof design, a lots of colors to fit anyone's personality.
- Bose Soundtrue on ear headphones for $60 - $70 savings - Better than Beats by Dre with sound and with this sale, $30 cheaper than the Solo 2 Beats by Dre even during it's Black Friday Sale. Have someone who loves music and sound, this is an awesome deal.
- Toshiba 1080p 49" HDTV for $150 - $279 savings - For the price of a low end tablet or smartphone, you can get a 49" 1080p TV for your main room, bedroom, or den. I spent 10x that seven years ago for a smaller lesser 1080p TV.
- Verizon Moto E 2015 4G LTE for $9.99 - $60 savings - 4.5" screen, 1GB memory, 8GB of storage with expandable storage (microSD card), 1.2 gHz quad-core processor, 5MP back facing camera, and 720p video. So again, you get a Verizon 4G LTE smartphone for under $10. This would be the number one deal of Black Friday if not for another site.
Target
Just like Best Buy, Target has more deals than you can probably handle. With that said, here are a few that are standing out already. Also, keep in mind that Target is also holding back some deals until Thursday.
- Element 4K 55" SMART UHD TV for $399.99 - Under $400 for a 4K (4x 720p or 2x 1080p) TV with added SMART functionality is a steal. Great gift for a TV/movie geek who lives to be the first in new technology.
- Apple Watch purchase starting at $349.99 - $100 gift card - If you are planning on getting someone a Apple Watch but also get other friends and family members items from target, it's essentially getting the Apple Watch $100 off.
- iPad Air 2 starting at $499.99 - $150 gift card - Same deal with the Apple Watch, if you are planning on getting one and other friends and family members gift at target, it would be like getting the Air 2 for $349.99.
- iPad Mini 4 starting at $399.99 - $100 gift card - See Apple Watch and iPad Air 2 reasoning
- Nikon CoolPix L340 for $99 - $240 savings - For the price of a point and shot, you get a 20MP SLR with a 28x zoom that shots video in 720p. It's bigger than a typical point and shoot but with that zoom, it's great for grandparents who want a great picture of their grandchild deep in centerfield. The only downside, it runs on 4 AA batteries.
Dell.com
Dell doesn't have too many deals this year but they do have, in my opinion, the best tech/gaming deal for 2015. Dell's deals start online at midnight Thursday so if you are going get in on them, make sure to mash that refresh button.
- Bose Soundtrue in-ear headphones for $50 - $80 savings - Most people are content with the typical white Apple Earpods but for that person on your list that is an audiophile (geek for music and sound) Bose traditionally delivers some of the best neutral sound around.
- Xbox One with 500GB bundle for $299.99 - $170 savings - Fallout 4 (arguably the best game of 2015), Gears of War Ultimate Edition, extra control, and headset. This is more than a steal. If there is someone in your life that wants a Xbox One, this is THE bundle to try and get first.
