Adobe Lightroom is free for all on Android
Make those Facebook photos shine!
Adobe on Monday announced that one of its mobile products, Adobe Lightroom 1.4 for Android, is now free for everyone. The company said it made the decision after releasing Adobe Lightroom 2.0 to all iOS users for free a couple of months ago.
It’s basically the same application that’s available on iOS, and it lets users quickly edit and share photos without requiring a Creative Cloud subscription. If you do have a subscription, however, or even a free trial, you’ll be able to sync and access photos and edits that you’ve otherwise created and edited on the company’s Web or desktop versions of Lightroom. So, there’s still a reason that folks might want a subscription, but it’s definitely not required if all you want is a tool for editing RAW and other photographs right on your Android tablet or smartphone.
The free version is available from the Google Play Store now.
