What no Vin Diesel as Riddick?
The first trailer for 2016's Star Trek Beyond has been released online.
Star Trek Beyond is the third film in Paramount’s rebooted Star Trek franchise. The previous two films were directed by J.J. Abrams, director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Abrams’ production studio, Bad Robot, is based out of Paramount. It should come as no surprise Paramount has secured its spot and will be screening the trailer ahead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Beyond stars Chris Pine and Captain Kirk, Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Sofia Boutella, and Karl Urban. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 5 & 6) takes over as director of the Simon Pegg and Doug Jung written film.
Star Trek Beyond hits theaters July 22, 2016.
