Warner Bros. on Tuesday posted a brand new trailer for Suicide Squad, and it’s comprised almost entirely of all-new footage. More shots of Harley Quinn. More shots of Killer Croc. And plenty of good looks of Jared Leto as the Joker.
We still don’t really know what the heck is going on—it looks like Joker gains some weird cosmic powers—but that really doesn’t matter at this point. Compared to Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad is shaping up to be the DC’s premiere movie property in 2015—and maybe going forward, who knows.
It has heavy sarcasm, action, humor, and plenty of much-needed flamboyance—basically, it has personality, unlike the drab and dreary world Warner Bros. is creating for the Justice League.
Suicide Squad is scheduled to hit theaters on Aug. 5, 2016
