Video: My first 48 hours with the new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Just a couple of weeks ago Samsung announced the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge to the world at Unpacked 7 in Barcelona hours before the beginning of Mobile World Congress 2016 to huge ravings. Not only did critics love the newish look of both phones but because of the hardware they were packing, the water resistance, and especially the rear facing 12 megapixel sensor camera with 1.7 aperture to make those low light shots that use to seem impossible without a flash, easy as point and shoot.

Normally the smartphone that gets the fanfare is the S series from Samsung. It's considered their flagship phone with the other phone(s) only getting a partial nod. But not this year. This year the nod went to the S7 while the ravings went to it's bigger brother, the S7 Edge. With it's curved edge 5.5 inch display and bigger battery while still being smaller than most phones with the same screen size, the S7 Edge stole the spotlight without question.

Now that a lot of people received their pre-orders, your's truly included, how does the hype live up to reality when owning a S7 Edge? I decided to put it through it's paces the minute I got mine and here are my thoughts on owning one in the first 48 hours.
