Vizio brings built-in Google Cast to its cheaper TVs with 6" Android tablet remotes

Last month, Google and Vizio teamed up to release an awesome new TV series with baked in Google Cast capabilities and a 6-inch Android-powered remote. The only problem? Vizio’s SmartCast P-Series wasn’t exactly budget-friendly, starting at $1,000 for a 50-inch set. Now the company is bringing Google Cast technology to its cheaper TV lineup.

Vizio’s SmartCastM-Series will be hitting stores soon with the Android remote included. The TV starts at $849.99 for the 50-inch model and goes all the way to an 80-inch $4,000 monster. The M-Series offers 4K Ultra HD and high dynamic range, but it’s missing the “Ultra Color Spectrum” featured on the premium P-Series.

For an ever better bargain, the company is launching the SmartCast E-Series, which offers Google Cast support without the remote. That’s fine, though, since you can use your phone or tablet to control the TV instead with Vizio’s special app. The E-Series TVs start at $209.99 with a 32-inch 1080p display. If you want a 4K resolution, you can grab the 43-inch model for $469.99, which is still a pretty good deal.
