Amazon Prime Video is the new home for PBS Kids TV exclusive content
Looking to keep the kids occupied while you sneak in another round of Overwatch? We got you. Amazon announced on Friday that Amazon Prime Video will be the new home of PBS KIDS TV shows. Fire the app up on your tablet, hit play on Odd Squad, give the tablet to child.
This is a big deal, though, especially as Amazon works to build its library of kid-friendly content to take on similar options offered by YouTube Kids, Netflix and other streaming services. Amazon said this is a multi-year agreement and that Prime members will have access to streaming TV shows such as Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Wild Kratts, Dinosaur Train, Nature Cat and Ready Jet Go!. The shows will also be available for offline downloads, which is one leg up over Netflix. The shows will continue to premiere on PBS before new episodes hit Amazon, however.
The content will be available soon at no additional cost to Prime members.
