Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch is now available for pre-order from Best Buy

Samsung’s new Gear S3 smartwatch is now available to pre-order at Best Buy, less than a week after pre-orders opened in the United Kingdom. Prices start at $349.99 and Best Buy says it’s “coming soon,” but there’s no exact release date just yet.

This hasn’t been a great year for Samsung thanks to the whole Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, but it’s not all bad news. Its Galaxy S7 series has been incredibly successful, and there’s plenty of demand for the Gear S3, which has already sold out in the U.K. in under a week.

Now both the Gear S3 Classic and Gear S3 Frontier are available to pre-order from BestBuy. Both are $349.99 and have identical specifications internally. The difference between the two is that the Classic has a somewhat smarter appearance while the Frontier looks more rugged.

The Classic also ships with a leather strap as standard while the Frontier’s is made of plastic. Like the Gear S2, both devices have a rotating bezel around their 1.3-inch Super AMOLED displays that lets you navigate the interface.

The Gear S3 lineup also boasts a GPS and heart rate monitor, a 1GHz Samsung Exynos chip with 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and IP68 water-resistance.
