It's time to get old school...
Releasing movie trailers in the modern era is a dance of previews and teases, designed to get audiences as familiar as possible with upcoming films before they hit theaters. Over 30 years ago the same techniques were used to get audiences excited about the original Star Wars saga, and the official Star Wars YouTube account has now uploaded an early trailer for the classic The Empire Strikes Back. Judging from the voice-over, it debuted sometime in 1979, and used a combination of promotional stills and conceptual artwork to give audiences a sneak peek at what was soon to come. Setting the stage for an epic adventure, the trailer promises that our heroes will "travel to exotic worlds where they meet new alien creatures and evil machines." We're going to assume they're talking about IG88.
