New App Friday: Versus App Lets You Quickly Compare Two Things

Screenshot

If you have ever had the urge to compare two things, be it the hottest new phones or washer-dryers, it has usually involved a bit of good researching. Versus is a new app on Android that will let users easily see the pros and cons of one thing as opposed to another, and will take input from users as well to make the app better.

The app has an easy-to-use interface as is apparent above, and looks to provide solid, to-the-point factual evidence. This means that, yes, the phone with beefier hardware is likely to win, but the fact that users can suggest new reasons to pick one thing over another makes it so that this is negated in a sense.

There are, of course, limitations to certain market sectors, and not every washer-dryer, ski resort, or phone has been indexed by the team behind the app. According to the Play Store description, you can currently compare phones, cameras, CPUs, tablets, headphones, graphics cards, cities, sports watches, single speakers, PC and gaming headsets, camcorders, monitors, fitness trackers, game consoles, motherboards, TVs, all-in-one DJ MIDI controllers, universities, robotic vacuum cleaners, washing machines, projectors, mobile phone headsets, gps navigation systems, scanners, e-readers, SSDs, smartwatches, MP3 players, voice recorders, MV* frameworks, ski resorts, washer-dryers, and tumble dryers; this is a pretty exhaustive list for a first release, though there has been a web version for a little while now.

For free, and with a two-megabyte size, there is no reason not to give Versus a quick look the next time you find yourself in a dilemma.
