The new Nexus 7 is available early from some retailers

I woke up this morning to several reports that some Walmart locations are already selling the 16GB and 32GB models of Google’s brand new Nexus 7. After a visit to a local Walmart I can indeed confirm this is the case, and we’ve already picked one up. In any case, you might also want to call your local retailers if you’re interested in picking one up before the official July 30 launch date, after which Best Buy and other big-box retailers will begin selling the device, too.
The new Nexus 7 was revealed on July 24 and comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed. Google promises the new 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution 7-inch display has the most dense pixels-per-inch rating (323ppi) of any 7-inch tablet in the world. It also offers a 5-megapixel camera, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.4GHz, NFC, GPS, 2GB of RAM and much more.
UPDATE:
From a friend in the mobile industry, I can also confirm that even my local Best Buy has started selling the new Nexus 7.
