Walmart Will Match Black Friday Deals Starting Friday, Nov. 22

Looking for an early electronics fix? Want to beat out the crowds and lines that come with Black Friday? Why not start a week early? Walmart will start matching Black Friday deals this Friday, Nov. 22, in an effort to grab consumers from competitors such as Target, Toys R’ Us and Best Buy as soon as possible.

That means you should expect some pretty solid savings, considering in the form of a Wal-Mart gift card. Best Buy is offering the Chromecast for $29 on Black Friday, while it will also sell the Surface RT for $199, the iPhone 5c for $48 (on contract), the Apple TV for $84.99 and the iPad Air for $449.99. Walmart said it will also sell its own products at a discount, including a 50-inch LG TV for $448, Skylanders and Infinity Starter Packs for $37, and select PS4 and Xbox One games for $49.

“Black Friday is our Super Bowl and we plan to win,” Walmart’s chief merchandising and marketing officer Duncan Mac Naughton proclaimed. “With six fewer days from Thanksgiving to Christmas, the retail environment is more competitive than ever. Every opportunity to get a great deal – whether this weekend, on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday weekend – matters for our customers. When it comes to price, we’re going to deliver for them.”

Walmart already has its own Black Friday deals in place, but if you want a shot at getting a new TV, a tablet, or a new phone before anyone else goes out the day after Thanksgiving, you might want to get in the car this Friday. I highly recommend you bring in a printed ads of all the items you wish to buy. While I was unable to reach Wal-Mart for clarity of use at the register, there are apps, like Brad's Black Friday, that can be downloaded and show Black Friday ads with prices to price match.
