Google wants to help you pick a Halloween costume
Technology and holiday fashion. Who knew?
Still looking for the perfect Halloween costume? A new experiment from Google Trends will help you make sure the one you pick is unique.
The company recently set up Frightgeist, an online tool that lets you check how popular certain costumes are around the country. You can even see what people plan to dress up as in specific city. That could be useful if you’re planning on attending a costume party and want to make sure you don’t end up wearing the same costume as all of your friends.
The data reveals that Batman villain Harley Quinn is the most popular choice, followed by broader categories like Star Wars, Superhero and Pirate. Batman himself is also a common search, suggesting we’ll see plenty of caped crusaders roaming the streets next week. Surprisingly, Google also reveals that zombies aren’t a particularly common choice despite their general popularity throughout the year.
Whether you’re planning on dressing up this Halloween or you’re just curious what costumes people are searching for, you can check out the site for yourself via the source link below.
